Bio
I am an eccentric.  Seeking after the things which other do not believe exist, dreaming of
the impossible, and reaching out after the long forgotten.  I was born in Lansing, MI, in
1980.  My parents moved to Arizona (they took me along too) round about my first
birthday.  I have been here ever since.

In 1999 I met the woman I would later marry (The artist formerly known as Miss Suzie
Lee), while attending Arizona State University.  We didn't date, and apart from me
loaning her a book, we really had very little interaction until about 2001 when I asked her
to coffee, and we talked for three hours straight at Starbucks.  Subsequently we became
very good friends, until I decided I had had enough of friendship and asked her to marry
me.
In May of 2003 we were married and a month later
Suzie became pregnant.  John Isaac Backus was
born April 1, 2004.  It has been an amazing
experience becoming not just an husband, but also
a father.  I still strive to improve, but I have this
feeling that I will never be quite perfect, no
r will I
ever be quite through with being a father until I step
foot in the grave.
John Isaac is the most patient man I have ever met.
Christmas 2005
I have never pretended that I am easy to live with.  It is not
that I am moody, angry, or any of the usual things that
makes for a rather unbearable experience.  I am just a bit
different.  From how I live my life in the day to day, to
picking jobs.  I believe that you must first become on the
inside, what you wish to be on the outside.
I can be dead honest at times, which believe it or not, in a
world of people "seeking the truth", few of them have ever
seemed very excited when I honestly informed them of
how I was doing today.  I guess it is just one of those
questions we politely ask, and in return the other person
is supposed to politely lie to us about how pleasant they
are today.
I am heavily interested in entrepreneurship.  Perhaps I
come by it honestly.  My father has been an amazing
business for as long as I can remember.  I still
sometimes find myself amazed when I get the
opportunity to watch him work.  His customers LOVE
him.  And he managed to make a profit at the same
time.  If that is what sales is all about, I think it doesn't
sound so bad after all.
